Terms
These are the terms that apply when you book a website with Sites by Lilly. They are written in plain English so you know exactly what to expect before we start.
Quotes and pricing
Prices shown on this website are starting prices. Your final quote depends on the number of pages, the content involved and any extra functionality such as booking, galleries or online shops. I confirm the full price in writing before any work begins, and it does not change unless you ask for something outside what we agreed.
Booking and payment
A 50% deposit confirms your project and reserves your place in my schedule. The remaining balance is due once the website is finished and approved, before it goes live or before files are transferred. Deposits cover the design time already reserved and are non-refundable once work has started.
Payment is by bank transfer unless we agree otherwise, and invoices are payable within seven days.
What I need from you
To keep your project moving I need your text, images, logo and any brand details at the start. If content is delayed for more than 30 days, I may pause the project and restart it at the next available slot in my schedule.
You confirm that you own, or have permission to use, everything you send me, including photographs, logos and written copy.
Timescales
Most websites take one to two weeks from the point I have your content, depending on the size of the project and how quickly feedback comes back. Timescales are estimates given in good faith rather than guarantees, and I will always tell you if something is going to take longer.
Revisions
Every package includes two rounds of revisions on the design so we can get the look and feel right. Further changes, or new pages and features added after the design is approved, are quoted separately before I start them.
Ownership and portfolio use
Once your final invoice is paid, the design and content of your website are yours. Any underlying tools, frameworks or licensed assets remain the property of their owners.
I may show your finished website in my portfolio and on social media. If you would prefer I did not, just tell me and I will leave it out.
Domains, hosting and third-party costs
Domain names, hosting and any third-party platforms, plugins, fonts or stock images are separate from the design fee. I will explain any of these costs before your website goes live, and you can pay for and own them directly wherever possible.
Aftercare and support
I include 14 days of support after launch for fixes to anything that is not working as agreed. Ongoing edits, updates and new content can be arranged as needed and are quoted at the time.
Responsibility
I build every website with care, test it across devices and set it up to be found in search. I cannot guarantee particular search rankings, traffic levels or sales, as those depend on many factors outside my control. My liability for any project is limited to the fees you have paid for that project.
Cancellation
You can cancel a project at any time in writing. The deposit is retained and any work completed beyond that point is invoiced at a fair proportion of the agreed fee. I may also end a project if the working relationship breaks down, in which case you only pay for work completed.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. This version was last updated in August 2026.
Questions
